It is with great sadness that we must announce that Caroline Barnes passed away suddenly on December 20th 2013. Caroline was a stalwart and enthusiastic supporter of all the events at the Bodiam Arena, often running the collecting ring, handing out awards and generally plugging the gaps wherever she found them. Simon, Caroline's husband has been the Show Director of the International Show in July for some years, as well as announcing on several occasions and a myriad of other roles. Caroline was also a successful competitor and breeder in her own right and produced several successful Quarter Horses. Our heartfelt condolences go to her husband Simon and son James. Caroline will be hugely missed by all of us at Bodiam as this loss will be felt throughout the British Quarter Horse community and around the world. Her cremation is set for January 14th and details can be found on her Facebook page. |
